The Board received confirmation on Friday, Sept 22nd that our HOA insurance policy DOES NOT cover downed trees or tree damage to homeowner property. This is different information than what was provided to us last year from our insurance company pertaining to another common area tree issue. We were told then we had a $1000 deductible for each incident, but they would not pay to cut trees down proactively. The cost to clean up the current tree damage in the park common area and the Sunflower/Sunrise common area will be paid out of our dues. Thank you again to the membership who has helped bundle branches and clean up the park while we have waited on the insurance company to get back to us. The tree cutters were in the sub yesterday working in our common areas. All residents near the damage areas were pleased with the work that was done.
